The Word For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
We have a dear brother on our faith Defenders’ Forum who is about to become a Granddad (in fact he might already be one!). This song is for him and His family to welcome this new baby, a wondrous miracle of the Lord.
Be so blessed
Psalm 139:13-16
13 For You formed my inward parts;
You covered me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will praise You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made
Marvellous are Your works,
And that my soul knows very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You,
When I was made in secret,
And skilfully wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.
16 Your eyes saw my substance, being yet unformed.
And in Your book they all were written,
The days fashioned for me,
When as yet there were none of them.

It reminds me not just how much I’m loved by my Father, but how much I love my own children, which has always helped me to put my relationship with Him into context.
I know what my next post is going to be now. Thanks sis!
Glad you enjoyed it and it is one of those you can’t turn off until it is finished
Whenever I sing it or hear it I always get such an overwhelming emotion of love, that I battle to sing past the first few lines…His tenderness and gentleness is so shown here.
Oh how I love my Father!
Thanks loads for posting. I shared this with both my wife and my daughter and it is very special to us. This is a song that I led often in worship. Still touches me today as it did 10 years ago.
Psalms The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
The face of the LORD is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
What a beautiful song!
