This message may sound harsh to some, but I honestly feel it is a message that needs to be clearly heard and understood by anyone seriously considering their faith in Christ to be the genuine article.
Even in the few short months leading our fellowship at Townhill Christians, and the months prior to the fellowship becoming officially established, it has been a hard lesson to take. There are two people who I would consider dear friends, and who were inspirational in the initial action of setting things in motion, that have been lost along the way. Not for any other reason than a unified determination to stand on the truth of God’s Word, and refuse to compromise, no matter how tempting to do so.
I have to admit that at times it feels like a determination to stand for truth has cost precisely the people the Lord seems to have established to begin with. And if I were to judge the effectiveness of my role in the leadership of this ministry by the most normal means used to do so, I would be a resounding failure I’m afraid! Therefore to read such an article is extremely uplifting to me, and makes me feel that maybe I’m not alone after all.
