Proverbs
My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction; For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Proverbs 3:11-12

The Word
“Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it."

The Lamb of God

Glencoe

I am Scottish by birth and Celtic in my music choice – I love anything that has a haunting Celtic melody – Scottish or Irish – they are very similar- I call it my ‘root’ music. I particularly love gospel music with this Celtic sound. I came across this song, Lamb Of God, by a wonderful vocalist called Kerri-Anne Rostad.

I found a Celtic Worship category over at sermonindex and some of the songs are truly wonderful.
Be so blessed by this song of worship.

John 1:29
The next day John saw Jesus coming toward him, and said, “Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world!

  • Hey Jessie,

    Lovely song sister!

I absolutely love Celtic style music too. I don’t know if they’re still around, but a few years ago I heard a band called Iona, and they were of a similar vein. I loved the whole atmosphere that the music set too.

Same thing with another contemporary worship leader who’s music I enjoy, is Robin Mark from Ireland. Again, he often has a celtic lilt to much of his stuff, and that mixed with a great voice just sounds fantastic.

  • Robin Mark is wonderful, -I love him singing Be Unto Your Name. Eden’s Bridge – also a lovely Irish group – Their version of Be Thou My Vision is awesome. Iona, I must look up – I have not heard of them before. We don’t always get everyone out there, here in South Africa.

Thank you, bless you and glad you enjoyed this too!
