RUN! Run for your life! RUN!

This sermon was preached on the Sunday following the events of September 11th 2001.

Carter Conlon form Times Square Church, New York, is pleading passionately, calling you to RUN! Run from the false gospels that are so candy-coated and sly and gilt-edged and flesh-pleasing.

This video will surely touch you in some way. Perhaps to move you away from what you are following, or perhaps to your knees in thanksgiving and adoration that He has moved you out and away already, or still on your knees,  that that you have never gone the way of the other gospels.
Bless you

  • Hi Jessie,

This message is one that I heard many moons ago on the SermonIndex.net website, where it is one of the mp3 messages. It touched me then just as it still does.

In fact, I would recommend anyone at all to visit the site at: http://sermonindex.net and listen and read some of the 1000′s of wonderful messages they have online there. It makes such a refreshing change than the trash that is so prominent elsewhere on the ‘net.

    Hi Jessie,

A very powerful and moving message. First time I have heard Carter Conlan. Would have expected nothing less from Times Square New York.

    God bless,

    Andy

  • Hi Andy,

I began to listen to Carter Conlon when I used to listen to a lot of David Wilkerson’s sermons, and found out that Conlon was a pastor at Times Square Church too. The following link has over 300 of his messages if you want to listen to any of them: http://www.sermonindex.net/modules/mydownloads/viewcat.php?cid=123

  • Hi John
Thank you for the link to Sermon Index :-) - I really want to hear this whole message.

    Hi Andy
I am not surprised that Carter Conlon is part of David Wilkerson’s ministry. I did not know who ore where he was from and was going to research him today. Thank you :-)

    Bless you both

    Hi Jessie,
Thanks for this video…..I’ve snatched it for my video collection as well.
It’s pleasing to see a more mainstream church encouraging the people to flee for their lives……
How I do hope that people are really listening. I know they are hearing but are they listening.
This was 7 years ago, has anything changed? Has America fled her American gospel?
Is the church rediscovering the cross? the cross of death, to all who would carry it.
Hope you and yours are all well.
    Blessings,
    Tim.

  • Hi brother Tim
You are most welcome to snatch it! :-)

I also had similar thought to you as regarding has anything changed in 7 years? Knowing only how my own life has changed dramatically in 7 years, I think that there are some who will have heard and will have allowed the Lord of Life to bring about the changes needed and have kept the Narrow Way. They know who they are and obviously the Lord does too, but I fear many have not changed, or have changed only for a season when they were faced with their own mortality possibly for the first time during the days and months following 9/11. We are very capable as proud human beings to ‘turn a blind eye’ or ‘shut down’ to the Lord as time moves on, once we are over the ‘moment’. I have been guilty of this in the past and therefore know it is only of the incredible grace of God, that I am here today.

All are well thank you and I trust you and yours are well too
    The Lord bless you
    Jessie

  • the hour is late, and we shall stand before him who shall welcome us into heaven or cast us into an eternal hell. ( hjb ) we need the fear of God. we do not need more money. we need to know we are saved.

  • we need to know the day of judgement awaits us all. Heaven or hell ? hjb
