The Word For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. For in it the righteousness of God is revealed from faith to faith; as it is written, “The just shall live by faith.”
The following audio message is from a dear brother of mine by the name of Ray Kelly, who is an elder at Calvary Chapel, Southampton, and also leads the home group I attend.
This is part of a series of messages which can be found at the church website linked above, but I would like to highlight this message in particular, as it comes strongly against the common tendency within the church that desires to become like the world in order to reach it with the Gospel.
Ray makes a clear argument that the exact opposite approach needs to be taken, where as Christians, we need to also share in the vow of the Nazirite, that is prepared to lay down a life of sacrifice before entering the joy to come.
Psalms The eyes of the LORD are on the righteous,
And His ears are open to their cry.
The face of the LORD is against those who do evil,
To cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.
