Proverbs
Let not mercy and truth forsake you; Bind them around your neck, Write them on the tablet of your heart, And so find favor and high esteem In the sight of God and man.

Proverbs 3:3-4

The Word
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.

Through the Eyes of the Lamb

jesus-on-the-cross1
Imagine yourself in the position of the chosen one.
You have seen the face of God personally;
You have enjoyed personal fellowship with Him for eternity;
You know the true might of his power;
You were even there while the earth was being created!

Then imagine yourself being made one with humanity, ” The Son of man “;
Divine knowledge and authority within the frailty of flesh and blood.
Imagine knowing how many days you have left to live;
Imagine knowing the gruesome way in which you are about to die,
While the people you are about to die for laugh and spit in your face.
Would you find the strength to forgive those who mock your wisdom?

You wait patiently as the day draws near.
Even the people who follow you have their doubts.
The people who love you cannot understand what is about to happen,
While it is forbidden for you to tell them, for they must learn by faith.
You also must remember to live by faith,
For what is about to happen can only be overcome by faith in the Father.
Know this; that He who promised is faithful!

The time is here!
Your heart beats rapidly as you ponder what is about to happen.
The cell door opens and brutal soldiers throw you out amidst sneering faces,
Blood stinging your eyes as the crown of thorns embedded into your scalp causes intense pain.
Wearily, you carry your cross on bleeding shoulders and survey the faces you are about to die for.

Your final hours pass away as your mother weeps at the foot of the cross.
You are forced to watch as soldiers hammer nails through your hands and feet,
Your body screams out in agony as the cross is hoisted for all to see,
Misery is piled on misery as the Fathers fury is unleashed upon you,
Your innocent body paying the price for those who laugh at your pain.
” Hey ! King of the Jews, now what ? ” Someone shouts amidst roars of laughter.

Slowly but surely your strength ebbs away, as the pain increases evermore.
You weep softly as the endless pain eats your faith away.
” Father, Father why have you forsaken me ? ” You cry out anxiously.
Temptation rises in your heart to call upon legions of angels to save you,
But your love for those around you is just too great.
Finally and mercifully, the Father takes your spirit into glory for ever,
” It is finished ! ” You yell, and the devil flees away in fear!
AMEN, AMEN AND AMEN!!

  • Hey John
    This is both a torment and a blessing to read. Oh, how I love this Lord of ours – yet after knowing what He did, my words sound so small in the light of His.
    Thank you for blessing with this.
