The Word In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it.
Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord!
Unnumbered blessings give my spirit voice;
tender to me the promise of His word;
in God my Savior shall my heart rejoice.
Tell out, my soul, the greatness of His Name!
Make known His might, the deeds his arm has done;
His mercy sure, from age to age to same;
His holy Name–the Lord, the Mighty One.
Tell out, my soul, the greatness of His might!
Powers and dominions lay their glory by.
Proud hearts and stubborn wills are put to flight,
the hungry fed, the humble lifted high.
Tell out, my soul, the glories of His word!
Firm is His promise, and His mercy sure.
Tell out, my soul, the greatness of the Lord
to children’s children and for evermore!

Hi Andy
I have not heard/read this hymn before. It was so beautiful and you felt your spirit respond and lift to the wonderfully descriptive words that are so Lord-ward. So many of our modern songs lack the depth of the old hymns, lack the turn of phrase and grandeur of words.
Thank you and bless you dear brother for sharing it here
