Proverbs
My son, do not despise the chastening of the LORD, Nor detest His correction; For whom the LORD loves He corrects, Just as a father the son in whom he delights.

Proverbs 3:11-12

The Word
For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

God’s True Zion

This is a wonderful message spoken by Pastor Mark Stocker at Spring Road Evangelical Church on Sunday 27th Feb, 2011.

The message is preached from Zechariah 8:1-23 , and Acts 15:11-19 . The reality of a restored Zion prophesied from the Old Testament is examined, and how it is related to Christian believers today.

  • Just finished listening. What a glorious message! Yes, far greater and more wonderful. Loved the rocking horse analogy. Thank you so very much for posting, John.

Thanks Jo, it was a real blessing to me listening to it in church. I just got back home after this evening’s service where we’ve been progressing through the book of Zechariah, and I heard a wonderful message tonight that I would never have expected until I heard it. It was preached from Zech 9:11-10:5 .

So often I have heard recently people making a claim against amillennialist’s that they do not value Old Testament prophecy. But tonight’s message showed that to be nowhere near the truth whatsoever, for I don’t think I’ve ever heard OT prophecy made so relevant to my faith in Christ today. Hope to post it soon.

    God bless,

    John.
