Have you ever tried to answer criticism from unbelievers concerning the goodness of some who are unbelievers, especially in the light of the sinfulness of some who profess to be Christian? It can be tempting sometimes to give answers off the cuff that may even be far from the truth of Scripture. This is an excellent sermon spoken by Pastor Mark Stocker on the subject of common grace, which addresses this issue very well. It does not deny the genuine nature of many charitable works done by those who are not Christian believers, and even applauds those good works, but at the same time shows how these are because of the common grace of God toward all. Also it is clearly shown how this grace is separate from saving grace, and therefore the necessity for all to repent and believe the Gospel of Christ crucified and risen again is crucial.
